By using Filmchooser, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the service.
2. Who we are
Filmchooser is an online service that suggests films and TV series. For inquiries: filmchooser.info@gmail.com.
3. Description of the service
Filmchooser provides personalised film and TV series recommendations based on preferences indicated by the user through a quiz and filters.
Filmchooser does not provide streaming of audiovisual content and does not sell subscriptions. It may indicate where a title appears to be available (e.g. Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, etc.) based on third-party data, which may change over time.
4. Accounts and registration
The service can currently be used without creating an account. If features requiring registration are introduced in the future, the relevant terms will be updated and made available on this page.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to:
- use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes only
- not attempt unauthorised access, mass scraping, or abuse of the API/resources
- not interfere with the operation of the service (e.g. attacks, spam, overloading)
- not use the service for illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purposes
In the event of abuse, Filmchooser may restrict or block access to protect the service and its users.
6. Data, Privacy and cookies
The processing of personal data (if and when present) is governed by the Privacy Policy. In the event of a conflict between the Privacy Policy and these Terms, the Privacy Policy prevails on all data protection matters.
7. Content and intellectual property
The site, design, logo, original text, and code of Filmchooser are protected by intellectual property rights and may not be copied or commercially reused without authorisation.
Titles, synopses, images, trailers, cast information, and content metadata may come from third parties. The respective rights belong to their owners.
Filmchooser uses data and/or images from TMDB (The Movie Database) where available. Filmchooser is not affiliated with or sponsored by TMDB.
8. Accuracy of information and platforms
The availability of content on platforms (streaming, rental, purchase) may vary by country, subscription plan, and over time. The information shown is indicative and may not be up to date.
Users are responsible for verifying actual availability and the terms of the relevant third-party platform before accessing content.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, Filmchooser does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suited to any particular purpose (including the satisfaction of entertainment preferences).
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Filmchooser is not liable for:
- the accuracy or completeness of content data and platform availability
- changes, outages, or policies of third parties (streaming services, catalogues, prices, restrictions)
- indirect damages, data loss, loss of profits, or interruptions of use
- the content or practices of third-party sites reached via links
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (e.g. mandatory consumer rights).
11. Links to external sites
Filmchooser may include links to third-party sites. Filmchooser does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content, services, or policies (including privacy).
12. Minimum age
The service is intended for users aged 13 or older. Younger users must use the service under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
13. Suspension, changes and termination
Filmchooser may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (in whole or in part) for technical, security, or operational reasons, and may restrict access in the event of misuse.
14. Changes to these Terms
Filmchooser may update these Terms. Changes will be published on this page with the date of the last update. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
15. General provisions
- Severability: if any clause is found invalid, the remaining clauses continue in full force.
- No waiver: failure to exercise any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Italian law. For disputes with consumers, jurisdiction lies with the courts of the consumer's place of residence or domicile, in accordance with the Italian Consumer Code.
